Frequently Asked Questions

Will the car wash tunnel close? What services will be available?

Yes, starting Sunday, October 5th at noon, the wash tunnel will be closed. We expect to reopen on Monday, October 13th. During this time, we will not be able to offer any wash services, but the fuel pumps and convenience store will remain open. However, there are 3 other Waterway locations in the area. Click here to see which location is closest to you.

What is changing?​​
  • Everyone rides through. Starting Monday, October 13th, everyone will remain in their vehicles and ride through, making the experience more convenient and time-efficient. If you purchased a wash with an interior cleaning, you’ll follow directions on the screen or from an attendant when exiting the wash tunnel. Then, you will carefully exit your vehicle and head to our cozy waiting area. While we give your car the finishing touches, feel free to shop in our retail store!

  • Place your vehicle in NEUTRAL. Also starting on Monday, October 13th, you will place your vehicle in Neutral, instead of in Park, once your front wheels are on the belt.

  • We’ve upgraded some of our wash tunnel technology and are excited for you to see the difference!

  • Due to the updates made inside our wash tunnel, we are confident your car will look fantastic without the need for a towel dry. If you are not 100% happy with the results, we will address it! If you would like to upgrade your wash or your membership to the Interior Clean or The Whole Thing®, we’ll be happy to get any remaining droplets for you.

Why do I have to stay in my car through the wash?

With all customers riding through the wash, we will be able to maintain shorter lines and a more time-efficient visit. Additionally, newer vehicles are increasingly difficult to operate. We will be able to provide a safer, more streamlined service with customers maintaining control of their vehicles through the wash. But we will have team members available every step of the way for a smooth experience.​

Why don’t you dry off my car anymore?

Due to the updates made inside our wash tunnel, we are confident your car will look fantastic without the need for a towel dry. If you are not 100% happy with the results, we will address it! If you would like to upgrade your wash or your membership to the Interior Clean or The Whole Thing®, we’ll be happy to get any remaining droplets for you.

I don’t want a Speed Tag on my car. Must I have one?

As a condition of membership, you will be issued, and must affix to the interior or exterior windshield of the registered automobile, a Waterway speed tag. This speed tag enables Members to exercise the benefits of membership and must remain attached to the registered automobile on file at times during membership. In the event you are unable or unwilling to affix a speed tag to the registered automobile’s windshield, membership will be denied.

The payment kiosks don’t pick up my membership. What do I do?

Just let a team member know so we can rule out a few easy fixes. If it cannot be resolved, we’ll involve a manager.​

While the wash tunnel is closed, may I go to other Waterway locations to wash?

Yes! We have 3 other locations in the area
